Store design
ZEB Schoten, the impressive Belgian flagship store with a surface area of approximately 1,000 m², is part of the Fashion Society group, a division of the Colruyt Group. ZEB chose Glotec, as part of the permanent construction team, to give their extensive fashion outlet a fresh makeover.
A shop interior with unique atmosphere zones
One of the unique aspects of ZEB Schoten is that the shop is divided into 12 different atmospheres, each with completely different furniture. This creates a journey of discovery for the customer while shopping. The use of white metalwork is mainly aimed at female customers, while black metalwork is mainly used for the men's departments.

Technical drawings for perfect realisation
The shop concept and accompanying furniture book, designed by Swyzen & Bastijns, became our starting point. Using technical drawings, we controlled the machines to produce prototypes. After validation and gathering feedback, each piece of furniture was meticulously manufactured and installed. Glotec's creations include centrepieces, shelving, wall units, accessory panels and front hanging systems.
A complex but successful project
Although the project was challenging due to the large number of different furniture items, finishes and colours – 90 different items, including 20 different centrepieces – we managed to deliver all elements successfully and within the agreed lead time of six weeks. This was crucial, because after we had finished our work, the cleaning team was ready to start and the clothes had to be hung up. At Glotec, we understand that timing is everything in the retail world.
