The birth of our revolutionary Smart Displays: Glotec first started making horizontal displays with pull-out drawers for floors in 2014. These traditional systems quickly became fixtures in many shop-in-shop and retail outlets.
The Beginning of Glotec's Smart Displays
However, during a trip to Hong Kong in 2018, we were first introduced to an exciting shopping experience driven by RFID tags. The corresponding product information is automatically displayed on a screen when a drawer is opened. The ability to integrate this technology into our drawers opened a world of possibilities.
Together with Digitopia, a specialist in software and electronics, we perfected this technology. We implemented beacons, small wireless Bluetooth transmitters that provide a smooth, effortless customer experience. In doing so, we laid the foundation for our Smart Displays.

Changing the store image at Floorify
When we presented our innovative Smart Displays to Floorify in 2022, we received positive feedback, which gave us the confidence to develop this product further. Now these Smart Displays are transforming the shopping experience at Floorify.
When a customer pulls out a drawer to view a floor sample, relevant product information is automatically displayed on a large screen. The drawers remain effortless, and the technology remains hidden, giving customers a seamless experience. This interactive system provides customers with a wealth of information while generating valuable data for marketing and sales teams.

At Glotec, we’re always moving forward. Building on the success of our smart displays, we’re now transforming existing floor displays with this innovative concept.
